The Organization: ICCF's Conservation Council of Nations

The Conservation Council of Nations is building the world's strongest relationships between governments, international corporations and NGOs, and intergovernmental organizations to tackle the conservation challenge. The CCN is growing rapidly, with 37 member nations plus the European Union.

The Position: Office Manager of the Conservation Council of Nations and Project Coordinator (PC) for the Partnering for Biodiversity – Conservation Council of Nations (CCN) Project (Executing Agency – UNEP)
As Office Manager, the applicant will be responsible for the following:

1. Daily office functions
• Manage invoices
• Manage purchasing process for supplies and equipment
• Vendor liaison
• Schedule appointments for organization leadership
• Maintain databases and calendar

As UNEP Project Coordinator, the applicant will be responsible for the following:

1. General Activities
• Oversee overall project planning and implementation
• Monitor project outcomes and project budget, ensuring that the project is delivered on time and on budget

2. Project Oversight Committee (POC) Formation
• Work with UNEP to establish a POC
• Facilitate POC meetings by preparing draft agendas and draft minutes of all meetings
• Maintain regular communication with the responsible UNEP Task Manager

3. Project implementation
• Oversee CCN expansion
• Oversee the planning, implementation, and follow-up activities related to all project programs and events
• Oversee international caucus-building activities

4. Monitoring and evaluation
• Assist in the design of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plan

5. Management and reporting
• Manage the project staff to perform their duties effectively and efficiently
• Manage the budget consistently with implementation of the approved work plan
• Review employee time and expense records for UNEP project, and maintain records
• Report time and expense records, plus summary of CCN activities, to Technical Writer on a weekly basis
• Provide timely progress and financial reports to UNEP/GEF

Hiring Requirements
Applicants should have 3-6 years of work experience, a bachelor’s degree or higher, excellent communication skills (written, interpersonal and telephone), and be adaptable to a wide variety of situations.

Experience with international organizations, grant writing/management, and foreign languages is a plus, but not necessary.
