I don't like to start a topic and not answer the question myself so I'm going to kick this off.
I get HIV tested every 3 months reguardless of if I'm having sex or not!! I also get tested for other STD's at the same time. There's no way I'm going to play with my life and I certainly wouldn't want to put anyone else in danger. It's scary how many people I know personally who do not get tested at all and are very active. I had a friend to die 2 months ago from AIDS. It's very real and it's past time for more people to become serious about safe sex and STD awareness....

Im glad you and your husband have that kind of relationship Fembeauty. That's a beautiful thing. Unfortunately, there are many other couples taking medical visits for STD prescriptions daily . Another lady I knew (may she rest in peace) fell into that category and is now deceased of HIV complications. Sadly, her spouse was cheating and she had no clue that anything was wrong. She was a beautiful individual and the bad part about it is that his wrong caused her death and he's still living with his.

She had no clue and that was the sad part. He didn't contract it from cheating with another woman. He had done some time in prison and contracted the virus there. She'd had the virus a long time by the time it was found . Even then it was because she'd begun to get sick and went to the doctor. She got cut a raw deal...

Ur friends situation is EXACTLY why my husband and I get tested twice per year 2gether!! We actually started back when we were teenagers. My mom told me "don't u drop ur panties until u know that he won't give u something u can't get rid of!" So, a week b4 our first time, we got tested. When the results came back (back then it wasn't instant) we celebrated by having at it!! It's now simply part of our routine. Getting tested isn't about trust......it's about being realistic. We hope that our partners are doing what they're supposed 2 but we can never be 2 sure. I say better safe than sorry.

Laydee I hear you on that!!! Myself and my fiance (oh yeah forgot to tell yall I'm getting married!!!) get tested together on a very regular basis. It's not that we don't trust each other because I trust this man with my life and he trusts me with his. But you never know what could happen. I hope and pray that he's not out cheating on me (especially since we haven't tied the knot yet), but since one can NEVER be 100% sure we play it safe.

Regarding the topic at hand, we don't know how long things can hibernate in our bodies prior to detection (yeah the doctors might tell u one thing but the way diseases evolve these days, there's really no way to know) therefore it's extremely important that we get tested regulary in order 2 catch and maintain it in the awful event that we do catch something. I'd sure hate 2 be the one talking about how much I trust someone only to end up, years down the line, with what I think is a cold and it turns out that I'm on my death bed. No, I'd rather say, I love u, I trust u but I'm no fool, so let's go get tested!!

I'm not even gonna hold you up and say no fake shit.....I should get tested more times than I do, All though I play safe...97.5% of the time (nice percentage, huh? lol) but I do it about 2x a year....

I am married and i get tested at least once a year! Trust has nothing to do with logic! We are human beings! Capable of flaw, temptation, and lust! Also...there are so many ways to contract germs nowadays, why wouldnt you get tested? Fuck that! Any spouse, boyfriend, or girlfriend that has a problem with their mates getting tested should grow the fuk up and take the shades off! shit is real out here!

Amen Moody!!!! The folks who don't get tested and playing with not only their lives, but your life also. I get tested for HIV every three months, and last time I checked, I was NEGATIVE on all accounts (HIV/AIDSSTD's, etc)...these illnesses don't discriminate and they have no boundaries either. I say, get tested as often as you can!!!! When your partner goes for his/hertest, go with them, and have yourself looked at.

Former B2K member Raz B has allegedly written a book called This Boy's Life. We say allegedly because we have not been able to verify existence of the book with the publishing company or Raz B's reps. But rumor has it that the book features explosive allegations about former B2K members (Omarion, Lil' Fizz, J Boog), Bow Wow, Ray J, Chris Stokes and Chris Brown all being gay.
On Chris the book says,
“They say you never know who knows who. Chris Brown didn’t think about that when he attacked me online. I have a friend that’s very close to Chris’ camp who told me that Chris was involved with an up and coming songwriter Andre Merritt. So when Chris started going in calling people ‘gay’ and ‘fags’ I just dropped Andre Merritt’s name. I knew it was true when he decided to shut up.”
Chris responded (his tweets were later deleted) to the alleged book saying,

Andre 3000 FILMS Jimi Hendrix Biopic + Ne-Yo & Jamie Foxx PARTY In Las Vegas
Andre 3000 is over in Dublin filming the Jimi Hendrix biopic. Get deets on the film and see Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx hosting a pool party in Las Vegas.
Andre Benjamin aka Andre 3000 (who celebrated his 38th birthday yesterday) began filming All Is by My Side, a Jimi Hendrix biopic, today in Dublin, Ireland.
Andre 3000 wants fans to be surprised by the film so he avoided photos so everything will be fresh when it hits the screen.
But when it hits the screen, don't expect to hear Jimi's original music. Apparently, the estate is not on board with the biopic. The estate released a statement saying,
"Experience Hendrix CEO Janie Hendrix, sister of Jimi Hendrix, and the EH board have not ruled out a 'biopic' in the future though producing partners would, out of necessity, have to involve the company from the inception of any such film project if it is to include original Jimi Hendrix music or composition."
Andre 3000 will likely have to record covers of all Jimi songs used in the film. But hey.....isn't that what we wanted anyway?

Yesterday, Ne-Yo hosted Beach Life's Rehab Pool in the Hard Rock Hotel.

Though his voice was not up to par, Bobby Brown put in a good faith effort this morning during a concert for The TODAY Show. He performed his new track "Don't Let Me Die" "Every Little Step" and "My Perogative."
TODAY's concert was one of his most high profile appearances on network television since the passing of Whitney Houston. During the interview with Peter Alexander, Bobby denied that his new track was about Whitney Houston saying it was about his fiancee Alicia. He added his new album is about being clean from drugs (7 years) and the blessings in his life.
He said he isn't doing reality tv now and is focused on his new album The Masterpiece.
