In my opinion most people notice each other based on appearance in the 1st place. I think if the people arent physically attractied to each other then they can be platonic friends. I do think that if given the opportunity most guys would sleep with their female friends period! Most Men are just waiting on the opportunity...,,

well AISH..u said that u have had platonic relationships with guys before..so i think u answered ur own question! Of course women and men can be just friends! i have a bundle(and when i say bundle, i mean BUNDLE!) of women friends!..in a diffrent place and time in my life, would i sleep with some of them?..OF COURSE!!..but thats just honesty in thinking. In reality..most of my homegirls are like my sisters..and the thought of banging my sister is straight disgusting!! now..physically..im attracted to a lot of the women i know..and although im just a marginal looking guy..a lot of them are physically attracted to me. we pretty much acknowledge the shit and keep it moving. i think it all depends on how much u value the friendship. if the friendship is more important than sex..i think its easy to be platonic. if its not...well, things may just pop off! honesty's the best policy..fellas,if u feelin a 'friend'..tell her! and dont take it any kind of way if she doesnt feel the same.Respect her feelings and keep it moving..if the fact that she doesnt feel u like that ruins the 'friendship'..u guys probably werent real friends to begin with..ladies..same advice.listen..friendship last way longer than bustin a nut does..so be wise in ur choices!
p.s..have i ever slept with friends? HELL YEAH!! i guess we were mature enough to not let that destroy our relationship(these are the 'friends that i didnt quite view as 'sisters' lol!)..shit, as far as friends go..i slept with one and our relationship escalated and i ended up marrying her punk ass!! still friends to this day!...holla.

I've always heard that the best relationships/marriages start out as friendships. Just goes to show a man does not view us the way that we view them. Men can be friends with us for years and then have their feelings develop, while we will look at them and run at the first sign of feelings because we did not choose them first. Interesting...
As women why do we box men up? Stay in this lane and don't come out unless I say so. The friend zone.

tracy, u are so on on point witha lot of ur observations!!...let me just talk from what ive seen over the years..u women can fuk up a potential relationship with the perfect guy for u!!! alot of women throw a good guy to the side for some of the most ridiculous shit ever! so sometimes, a male friend, who is really the best thing for u..might develope feelings and u run him off because of every reason u can think of..later on, he gets married and makes a woman happy off of her rocker, while u get stuck with that perfect physical specimen u were looking for..and he DOGS U OUT!! i know single guys who earn six figures,look good according to what women say about them, got the nice cars and all that..and the biggest thing they complain about is the new wave woman who can only express her concerns about finances and credit reports and not friendship and a good man...and these aint no broke cats!! they done swore yall off..just tired of the insanity! even on this forum..people allude to men just wanting the draws and such..same ol shit!but thats the kind of guy women attract because thats all they expect!..i got homegirls that say "yeah,my homeboy asked me out and i had to tell him hell naw!!..we just friends!"..when u ask why they wouldnt holla..u know what they say?.."well, he cool and hes a gentlemen and all that, he got a good gig..but he just way to skinny for me,moody!.and u know i like a thick man!"...fukin i-n-s-a-n-i-t-y!!!!

guys have caught up to woman with b.s. like tracy asked "are we puttin men in a box?"..alot of women are..so now, if u a wolf in sheeps clothing..what would u do? u would find a miserable ass, caught up in her own indepedence, thinks that men aint shit kinda woman and do what? BEFRIEND HER!!..its not that u want to be friends..its just that ur patient enough to 'show' her that u are diffrent. Andre Benjamin aka Andre 3000 (who celebrated his 38th birthday yesterday) began filming All Is by My Side, a Jimi Hendrix biopic, today in Dublin, Ireland.
Andre 3000 wants fans to be surprised by the film so he avoided photos so everything will be fresh when it hits the screen.
But when it hits the screen, don't expect to hear Jimi's original music. Apparently, the estate is not on board with the biopic. The estate released a statement saying,
"Experience Hendrix CEO Janie Hendrix, sister of Jimi Hendrix, and the EH board have not ruled out a 'biopic' in the future though producing partners would, out of necessity, have to involve the company from the inception of any such film project if it is to include original Jimi Hendrix music or composition."
Andre 3000 will likely have to record covers of all Jimi songs used in the film. But hey.....isn't that what we wanted anyway?

Though his voice was not up to par, Bobby Brown put in a good faith effort this morning during a concert for The TODAY Show. He performed his new track "Don't Let Me Die" "Every Little Step" and "My Perogative."
TODAY's concert was one of his most high profile appearances on network television since the passing of Whitney Houston. During the interview with Peter Alexander, Bobby denied that his new track was about Whitney Houston saying it was about his fiancee Alicia. He added his new album is about being clean from drugs (7 years) and the blessings in his life.
He said he isn't doing reality tv now and is focused on his new album The Masterpiece.
